Virtual field trips ESL/EFl

Do your students enjoy traveling? Who doesn’t! Now, imagine combining the thrill of exploring new places with the everyday joy of learning English—all without leaving the classroom.

Sounds too good to be true? Let’s make it happen! These virtual field trips are designed to make learning fun and interactive, putting your students’ skills and knowledge into action in ways they’ll remember.

A Journey to Disneyland, the Grand Canyon, London, and Beyond!

Picture this: one day, your students are visiting Disneyland, laughing along as they learn, and the next, they’re “standing” at the edge of the Grand Canyon, jaw-dropped by the stunning views. Or maybe they’re taking a stroll around London, stopping at a café to order their favorite British treat. Want to introduce them to American history? Let’s head to Washington, D.C., to explore the White House! And for those dreaming of the big city, how about a “trip” to New York?

It’s all possible with my collection of virtual field trips! And the best part? You can try it for free with a trip to Disneyland to get a taste of how engaging and interactive these lessons can be.

What’s Included in Each Trip?

Each virtual field trip is packed with:

  • Videos and Interactive Maps – Students can watch immersive videos and explore destinations through Google Maps views, getting a real feel for each location.
  • Interesting Facts – Did you know the Grand Canyon is over 1,800 meters deep? Or that Buckingham Palace has 775 rooms? Every trip includes cool facts to keep students curious and engaged.
  • Speaking Practice – Students participate in diverse activities, like ordering food in a London restaurant. They describe the view from the Grand Canyon. These trips encourage them to practice speaking in real-life scenarios.
  • Adapted for Language Learners – The content is tailored for Pre-Intermediate learners. Students can follow along without feeling overwhelmed. Plus, native speakers love these virtual adventures too!

I’ve even bundled all the trips together, so you can get them at a big discount. It’s a great deal for teachers who want to add variety to their lesson plans and keep students engaged all year long!

How to Use These Trips Effectively in Class

Everything you need is ready to go! Each trip comes with a PDF file containing the link—just click, and you’re off on an adventure. For some tours, I’ve included versions in both PowerPoint and Google Slides, so you can choose whichever format feels more convenient. You’ll even find answer keys and additional notes, so you can focus on teaching, not prepping.

Once you’re in the virtual trip, let the fun begin! I recommend letting students explore for a bit on their own or in small groups, and then coming back together to share what they discovered. You could even set up themed days in class to match each destination—maybe a little Disney magic for the Disneyland trip or a “British Tea Day” for London!

Why and how I started creating escape rooms?

It all began back in 2022. You know there are moments when you want to find something and then magic ✨ you find it! I accidentally came across the TPT website (Teachers pay Teachers) and decided at once that I’ll start my store there!

Long story short, I was so inspired, I started creating products at once, it was autumn and the Christmas season was near so I made my first Christmas Escape Room!

I was living in Romania during that time because of russia’s attack on Ukraine, and starting my store helped me stay focused and busy.
